Fall and Spring are my two favorite seasons. They are also the two shortest seasons (go figure). So once the temperature drops a bit and the leaves start to turn, I take full advantage. That means preparation is handy. It’s just my luck that the September issues are always the biggest and jammed pack with great ideas.
Here are a few of our favorite fall trends and how we incorporate our k2o!
I love plaid because it is so versatile. Pair it with a graphic tee and some ripped denim and you’ve got a punk-grunge look. Throw on some black jeans and brown leather boots and you’ve got a classic outfit. Combine it with a flouncy skirt and you’re a real lady. The possibilities are endless, making plaid shirts, skirts and dresses great additions to your fall wardrobe.

I feel like menswear is kind of always a trend. However, this year, the menswear we saw played with feminine fabrics and textures to offset the menswear shape. But of course, the classic black and gray will always be in. I paired our Diag VIII Necklace with it because it fits perfectly between lapels on blazers and adds some sparkle whether you stick with traditional colors or not.

The best part of big, chic coats? You can basically wear anything under them and still look pulled together! Since you’ll be pretty covered up, wear a statement ring (before you have to pull out the gloves) to give your wool coat a little shine.

This year, leather isn’t just for accessories. From shirts with leather accents to full pants, black and shiny is the texture of choice. I carried the slick look into the jewelry–our black Swarovski crystals mimic patent leather nicely.

Sweaters are my favorite part of fall, hands down. I love how versatile they are. You can wear them with jeans, layer a collared shirt or over a dress. When I just wear a crew neck sweater with jeans, I like to add a statement necklace to give my look a little something-something. When wearing a turtleneck, stacking rings are a great way to add some interest.
