What a whirlwind it has been at Lincoln Center this week! Gorgeous models, celebrities and socialites along with the industry’s editors, buyers and stylists invaded the Fashion Capital of the world for the biggest event of the season: New York Fashion Week. Iconic and emerging designers showcased their collections in runway shows and presentations, unveiling the most fashionable looks and trends for this Fall/ Winter season.
Here is our roundup of our favorite trends from NYFW Fall 2013:
We saw many prints walk down the runway this week including plaid, houndstooth, checkers, and animal prints. We think houndstooth and animal prints will be very popular this year in everything from skirts to coats to dresses.

Leather and fur were seen everywhere this week. Almost every show incorporated some form of one or both pieces. Leather was seen in many forms other than jackets including, pants, bodices, dresses, and skirts. Fur was also seen different ways from coats to stoles, to snoods. Definitely put both of these trends on your shopping list for the fall!

Gorgeous gowns, as well as jackets, pants and skirts, waltzed down the runway with beautiful textures, shapes and colors such as crimson red, sapphire/navy blue, and olive green. Other trends were incorporated with these colors such as fur, leather, and asymmetrical designs.

Different shapes and designs were a popular trends this Fashion Week including boxy cuts, asymmetrical skirts/hemlines, and one shoulder pieces. Boxy cuts mostly focused on masculine designs while asymmetrical and one shoulder pieces had a more feminine touch.
