The late nights, countless outfit changes, after parties, and long days are finally over. The last stop in this crazy whirlwind of fashion weeks is Paris. Not only did Paris Fashion Week showcase stunning elegant and fashion forward trends, but the street style of fashionistas impressed as always.
Paris brought us an eclectic mix of trends that will definitely be spotted everywhere next spring and summer.
Checkers are a new trend on the runway and were seen in shows such as Chanel, Balmain, and Louis Vuitton. Paired with other prints, color-blocked, or just plain checkers, this trend is sure to be seen on trendsetters everywhere.
Stripes have been a trending pattern these past few weeks. We love how they are being color blocked with bright colors and paired with feminine silhouettes.
Elegant menswear outfits were another trend to grace the catwalk in Paris. Cutouts, like Costume National’s and Jean Paul Gaultier’s looks, were incorporated with classic tailoring to create edgy feminine looks.
Cut-outs have been spotted all over the runways this season, especially accentuating the midriff. Lowering waistlines and barely there tops were paired with other trends like checkers, geometric shapes, and high-waisted trousers.
Large, elegant ruffles waltzed down the runway creating sleek looks ranging from dresses to tops to skirts. We don’t know what it is, but ruffles can find any way to jazz up an outfit and create an elegant and feminine look!
