Styling: Summer Accessories

This summer, accessorizing is absolutely key to putting together the perfect season-appropriate ensemble. Here we have some of our favorite pieces and trending items so that you can look chic too!

MARC by Marc Jacobs Preppy Ragosa Straw Tote

The Cambridge Satchel Company 14″ Leather Satchel

Kate Spade New York Gold Coast Georgina

It’s all about the bag! Right now neon, straw, and quilted purses are all the rage! For simple, laidback outfits, definitely try a straw tote for a beachy vibe – and convenient enough to hold all of your items for the day. If you are trying to modernize your look, opt for a neon satchel – in any color! We highly suggest the Cambridge Satchel – definitely a must-have for this season. Need a new bag for work? Try a classic quilted bag in a mod color like red!

Louis Vuitton Anthea Sunglasses White

Marni Brick and Gold

Lanvin Swarovski Crystal Accented Semi-Rimmed Sunglasses

Sunglasses are our saviors on both sunny and on those, well…less-than-sunny days. Although sunglasses are a tad bit difficult to shop for given our different face shapes and sizes, this season’s styles are very much flattering on anyone! Colored frames are extremely in, so we have provided you with some examples of more adult versions to this trend. Are you more of an aviator-type? The Lanvin Sunglasses are a twist off of the aviator type – except they are aligned with crystals. Perfection.

Ancient Greek Sandals Pythia Leather Sandals

Kate Spade New York Women’s Ingrid Thong Sandal

Vince Camuto Women’s Kastern Sandal

We know that after a work week of wearing heels to the office, your feet are in the dire need of some relaxation of their own. For the ultimate laid back look, channel your inner Greek goddess with some strappy sandals. If you are looking for something a little more relaxed, but not quite as casual as a flip flop, try a braided thong sandal in mint for the ultimate trendy look. Or – wear a sandal in a bright color to add a pop of shimmer to any outfit!

ASOS HARLOT Stiletto Leather Sandals

DIANE VON FURSTENBERG Jodi color-block suede sandals

B Brian Atwood Cassiane Snake-Print Leather Fringe Sandals

On the nights (or days!) where you’re feeling sexy and confident and ready to conquer the world, why not do so in a gorgeous pair of heels? This season, it is all about color and fringe and straps. A neutral heeled sandal add just enough classiness to an already edgy outfit. If edgy, however, is what you’re aiming for, try bold colors or shimmery fringe to really make your feet pop!

Reed Krakoff Patent Leather and Leather Colorblock Wedge Sandals

Sigerson Morrison Women’s Dali Wedge Sandal

Diane von Furstenberg Elan Colorblock Leather Wedge Sandals

Wedges are the perfect compromise between heels and flat sandals. They add that extra height that will make you go unnoticed, but are just as comfortable as wearing flip flops! Since summer is all about rocking neon and bright colors, leave the black and nude at home! Be adventurous and take your looks to the next level by being super chic … and super comfortable!

k2o Rock Harness

k2o Pop Mod Ball Ring in Mint

k20 Glam Diagonal Fringe Earrings

The summer heat may leave you wanting to wear as little as possible – especially with make-up and extra accessories. If the heat bugs you just as much as it absolutely annoys me, don’t be afraid to wear a very simple, cotton dress in a bright, solid color – and then adding a k2o harness for some glam. They are a great way to dress up any outfit – regardless of what you’re wearing out that night! For simpler looks, mint rings are another way of subtly showing off some color. On nights after the beach, where your hair is down, we suggest wearing k2o Fringe Earrings; they look beautifully with long hair, and are yet another awesome method of looking effortlessly gorgeous!

Happy accessorizing!
