Trend Alert: Summer Essentials

It’s nearly 90 degrees and summer is FINALLY here!

Here are 5 summer essentials that you must have in your wardrobe:

1. Over-sized Retro Sunglasses

While you can recycle your classic aviators, why would you want to blend in with the masses when you can stand out and look fashionable instead?

Put those aviators aside and try on one of these retro sunglasses:

Prada SPR 27N

Prada SPR 09N

Chloe CL2200

2. The “IT” White Dress

Please do not pull out last summer’s white dress.  In fact, if you still have it, do yourself a favor and donate it. Try some of these dresses instead:

Alexander McQueen

Notte by Marchesa

3. Wedge Heels

At first, I wasn’t sure about this particular fashion trend but I have to admit, it has grown on me.  Wedge heels are perfect for picnics or summer garden parties, especially if it is located on some grassy field.

[As we all know, stilettos are not made for grass fields.]

Here are some wedge heels that I would recommend:

Pierre Hardy

Pierre Hardy

Christian Louboutin Miss Cristo

4. Summer Hat

I will be very impressed if you actually have your summer hat from last year.  I’ll be honest, I don’t know where mine is and if you are like me [hat-less] you are going to have to pick up a new one for this summer [or else risk getting a sunglass tan…].

Check out some of these cute summer hats:

Juicy Couture

Eric Javits

Armani Collezioni

and last but not least….

5.  A Bright Colored Shopper Bag!

No summer outfit would be complete without a bright colored handbag!  Here are some of my favorites:

Jil Sander
